Bayou Response

helping the hurting

Since 1960, there has been a dramatic increase of natural disasters worldwide, and here in Louisiana, we've seen more than our fair share of them.
With that increase, the need for help in times of disaster has also risen dramatically - and it was out of that need that Bayou Response Inc. was formed.  Our heart is to recruit, train, equip and deploy volunteers of varied skill sets to help those in need following disasters. We also want to help local churches to establish their own Bayou Response chapters to do ministries of helps in their own church and community.
Though only two years old, we've already made an impact right here in the Bayou State.

Since August 2012 we've...

- Helped staff LA 211 Cal Center

- Gutted and helped rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Isaac.

- Repaired facilities at theTwin Lakes Campground that were damaged due to a tornado and termites.

- Repaired the Pease Chapel Bldg. from mold and termite damage.

- Saved these people and organizations hundreds of thousands of dollars to to donated labor, materials and monies.

How To Get Involved...

-Create: Form a Bayou Response Chapter in your church. From neighborhood and cleanups to home repairs, these teams of volunteers work to address needs right in their own communities. And, when disaster strikes, these chapters are able to mobilize and make an immediate and eternal impact and affected regions.

-Volunteer: Contact us to let us know that you'd like to be a part! We'll connect you with a local chapter or (if their is none in you area) keep you up-to-date about projects that you can do. Whether you are a licensed counselor or a contractor, can cook, swing a hammer or paint, there is a place for you.

-Resource: From generators to mini excavators - sometimes you just need the right tool to get the job done. If you have specialized equipment or are able to help us locate equipment when needed, we'd like to know.

-Give- Prayerfully consider supporting the work of Bayou Response, Inc. Your tax-deductible donations can be sent directly to Bayou Response or through the Assemblies of God. Assemblies of God churches will receive U.S. missions credit. Our A/G Missions Account is #838792. Bayou Response Inc. is a 501c3.
